Students are invited to attend the Local Action, Global Impact: Building Awareness of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in Saskatchewan’s Post-Secondary Education seminar taking place on Tuesday, April 12 from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. CST (Saskatchewan) come-and-go.
This event is hosted by the Saskatchewan Education Alliance Group and aims to raise awareness on how the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) can be addressed in higher education, and how Saskatchewan has incorporated SDGs into its international education strategy.
There is a great line up of speakers, including the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization; United Nations Global Compact; International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD); UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network; University of Saskatchewan; University of Regina; Saskatchewan Polytechnic; and Parkland College.
The diverse audience of academics, students and representatives from higher education institutions, and government officials will enable a rich and engaging discussion on the topic of the SDGs.
