Biography

Chantal Lécuyer joined the University of Saskatchewan in January 2014, contributing to the USask community both as a staff member and graduate student. With a diverse background in veterinary medicine and education, Chantal was initially recruited with the USask Health Sciences in the area of simulation and curriculum development, before embarking on this 9-month term as an International Data Audit Coordinator.  

Chantal holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Animal Biology from the University of Guelph and a Master of Education in Health Professions Education from the University of Saskatchewan. She has also maintained her Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist certification since 2017.

Throughout her career, Chantal has sought out collaborative opportunities. Most recently, she co-authored blog posts:  The Effect of the Butterfly, Collaboration from Beginning to End: Building an Escape Room, What did we learn about collaboration?, Why did we learn about collaboration? What resources did we use?, and What were indicators of successful collaboration? which highlight her efforts to promote personal growth and foster effective collaborative practices. As Chantal begins her new role, she is looking forward to engaging in new collaborative opportunities “en Français” and in English.
