Biography

Chantal Hanson has been a part of the USask community for many years as both a student and staff member. Prior to joining the International Office, Chantal worked in the International Student and Study Abroad Centre (ISSAC) for nearly 8 years in the areas of international student support, inbound and outbound mobility programming, the Building Bridges program, Intercultural programming, and study abroad promotion and recruitment.

Chantal has a BA in International Studies from the University of Saskatchewan, an MA in Globalization and International Development from the University of Ottawa and is currently pursuing her Doctor of Education (Ed.D) in Educational Leadership at the College of Education at the University of Saskatchewan.

Chantal’s professional and academic focus has been tied to the various ways we are all connected across the globe and has always been inspired to contribute to the betterment of society through intercultural learning and international collaboration. Chantal has a particular interest in the ways that internationalization and Indigenization strategies can support one another. She is excited to be able to grow her skills and networks in new ways to support the mandate of the International Office at USask.
