SURE Scholar Research Assistantships

Work as an undergraduate research assistant with a USask faculty member or as part of a campus research team. As a research assistant, students gain excellent experience for future career and academic paths.

These term positions often take place during the spring and summer months.

In addition to direct involvement in research, some students may go on to co-author a manuscript or paper, create a poster and showcase it in a symposium, or give presentations.

Funding for SURE Scholars (formerly OVPR USRA program) are allocated to colleges. Faculty members submit an application to their college for funding to hire a research assistant using college deadlines and requirements. (Note: the 2021 SURE Scholars program is on hold pending funding announcements).
